From the time I could walk and talk, politics has been woven into the fabric of my life.
Whether canvassing for my grandfather on the quorum court or supporting both my father and grandfather in their bids for justice of the peace, politics has always been a part of me. My mother’s work at the county clerk’s office meant that many of my childhood evenings were spent surrounded by the energy of election cycles—waiting for results, celebrating victories, and witnessing the democratic process firsthand.
Throughout school, I immersed myself in opportunities to serve, to learn, and to lead. From winning 1st place in parliamentary procedure at the state level through FBLA to representing my school at Girls State, where I delved deep into the mechanics of state politics, I built a foundation rich with knowledge and experience.
Though I once envisioned a future in the Air Force as an aeronautical engineer, my heart always led me back to public service, where I thrived in roles like student council, becoming a CNA, or working as a customer service rep for 10 years- driven by a passion for helping people and improving our world.
Fast forward to November 2019, when we moved to Lowell, just before the world faced an unprecedented challenge. During that time, I became an overnight mom to my 15-month-old niece, and I left my job to dedicate myself to raising her. These past few years have been a whirlwind of love, growth, and resilience. We’ve navigated the complexities of guardianship and parenthood and are now on the verge of finalizing the adoption of our sweet girl, who is now four.
It is her, in fact, who reignited my passion for community service. My dream is to create and run a non-profit dedicated to mental health, where we offer immediate, compassionate care and comprehensive services. Whether someone needs a safe place to sleep or support to re-enter the workforce, we’ll be there, ready to help. By prioritizing mental health, we can create a ripple effect—leading to profound improvements in areas like addiction and homelessness. When we lift up the mind and spirit, we empower individuals to reclaim their lives and build brighter futures.
I am committed to building a community that is safe, healthy, and supportive for everyone—especially for our children, who deserve nothing less.
Like many, I’ve felt the impact of national politics, and as I considered how to use my time now that she’s in school, I discovered an opportunity to serve on our city council. After discussing it with my husband, I realized that while I may not be able to change the world at the national level, I can—and will—make a meaningful difference here in Lowell.
My heart has always been with the people, fostering connections, and finding solutions. If I don’t step up, who will? I look around this community and feel profoundly blessed to call Lowell my home. The people, the businesses—we may be small, but we are mighty. As your councilwoman, I promise to bring fresh ideas to a table where EVERYONE is represented and heard.
I’m not just a woman or a mom—I’m a person dedicated to putting in the work to make Lowell an even more extraordinary place.
Together, we will ensure progress, inspire change, and Reach for a Brighter Tomorrow.
